Initial Consultation
I will meet with the clients to discuss their vision, preferences, and budget. Then I will produce a written client brief detailing creative and practical elements raised in the consultation.
Site survey and analysis
I will conduct a site analysis to assess existing conditions, including soil quality, drainage, sunlight exposure, and existing vegetation.
Concept Development
This is to develop preliminary design concepts based on the client's input and site analysis. After this, the client is Presented with concept sketches, mood boards, and material samples for review and feedback. The design concepts are then revised based on the client feedback until a final concept is approved.
Detailed Design Development
I’ll Prepare detailed garden layout plans, including hardscape elements (patios, walkways, retaining walls), planting beds, and outdoor structures (pergolas, gazebos etc).
Specified plant selections will be based on site conditions, climate, and client preferences.
I will then provide detailed specifications for materials, finishes, and construction methods.
If needed, I can Develop lighting and irrigation plans.
Construction Documentation
To guide contractors during the implementation phase, construction drawings and specifications will be prepared, which will Include detailed measurements, construction details, and planting plans.
Quality Assurance
Site visits, to be arranged with the client, will be conducted to ensure that construction is proceeding according to the design intent.
Project Completion
Finally, I shall conduct a final walkthrough with the client to ensure their satisfaction with the completed garden. During the walkthrough the client will be provided with guidance on maintenance practices and ongoing care for the landscape. I will then deliver the final project documentation, including drawings and plant care instructions.
